Located within the Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort, Chef Micah Windham and his culinary team have created seasonal gourmet menus with the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. Meals are are served family style and al a carte in Kingfisher's lodge-style setting which features exposed wood beams, river rock, a roaring massive stone fireplace and sweeping views of Icicle Canyon. We had a reservation but when we arrived they had nothing available, then as a party of 7, they wanted to seat us at a six top. We finally were seated about an hour after our reservation. We never got menus (other than what we brought to the table). It took over an hour to get cocktails and bread served. Then the main courses were meh at best in taste and delivered cold. The staff were obviously trying their best and very pleasant but the execution was horrible. It was Thanksgiving so we were trying to be extra understanding, but it was way below our expectations.

I arrived just before 9PM on a Tuesday night. With the restaurant virtually empty, I dined on an excellent burger and a beautiful fragrantly herbed green salad. The salad was incredibly fresh - a pleasure to look at and to eat! After a 2 hour drive to the resort, it was great to be treated to such excellent service and food. Highly recommend.

We have enjoyed dining (and breakfasting) at Kingfisher at least a dozen times over the years. This was no exception. It remains a welcoming, handsome and comfortable space to visit. The service is friendly, efficient and top notch. The food is delicious. My concerns relate to the pricing. $20+ dollars for a glass of wine is expensive even by Seattle standards. The prices of the entrees aren’t bad (mostly in the thirties), but everything else is extra-vegetables, potatoes. The result is the entree looks very lonely on the plate. Some thought to garnishing (i.e., plating or presentation touches) would be a welcome improvement. And while it’s not uncommon to charge extra for a vegetable dish, an included potato, rice or even fruit element would be helpful. We’ll be back, but I do hope some thought will be given to these well intentioned suggestions.

Overall it was very good. Beautiful place. Service was excellent. The food was very good. My steak was done perfectly but by the time they served it to me it was so cold the butter on it wouldn’t melt and the butter patty still was wrapped in its plastic. Maybe it should have been removed. Idk. No matter what I will return another day

The ordering process was extremely confusing. For breakfast the waiter quickly read 15 options, and there was no menu available. We ended up getting eggs and potatoes for $50 / 2 people.

A little hard to find but oh so worth meandering toward the back to see the Chihuly glass ice sculptures. Beautiful restaurant....scrumptious food...excellent service! Covid precautions were in place with space between patrons...mask wearing servers made this a safer and extremely enjoyable visit!!!
