   I had the lemon pasta with chicken - not very much chicken included for $8. Was just a few small diced up pieces mixed in. Overall taste of the dish was great. Bbq chicken flatbread was great! My S/O had the ribeye with crab Oscar. Steak was overcooked (asked for med rare, came out more med - med well), crab meat was cold & a little more fishy than normal. I had the gingerbread bourbon drink on the specials menu.. being a bartender for 10 years, this drink had no balance. Not a fan. We were going to order another round of something different but by the time our server came over my S/O was in the bathroom and I waited as I wasn’t sure what he wanted. She didn’t come back for about another 20 minutes. Finally, she did & we asked for the check. I can’t fully blame her, as she was clearly the bartender, when we arrived I heard our actual server passing us off to her (which is absolutely understandable during a rush, everyone gets busy, but don’t stand around near the bar talking and looking around like you’re bored). Overall atmosphere was great, we were seated quickly, the vibe of the restaurant is wonderful and in a perfect spot. This was a birthday surprise and that was even noted in my reservation - it was never mentioned and I never got a chance to bring it up to our server. (After working in many many restaurants, I guess I expect more, especially when it has been noted in reservations). My biggest complaint is the cocktail - too strong of a syrup and the ratios were way off. I’m sure we will try here again someday. Every restaurant has bad days and good.

   Food was excellent. We were there at 3pm on a Saturday and there was only one server in the entire restaurant. He was dealing with impatient people, being double and triple-sat multiple times while we were there, and 10+ tables all on his own. So, overall, the service was slow. But, given the circumstances, our server deserves a medal! He was friendly, upbeat, and as attentive as humanly possible with more than 10 tables on his own.

   The hostess informed us that “people were late for their shift” so bar service may be slow. We decided just to keep it simple and get a cognac and whiskey neat. We were advised they didn’t have any cognac. I settled for bourbon but it came out in a dirty glass. The soy sauce bowls were also dirty. The manager apologized for the service.

   The ambiance was pleasant, and the server was friendly, but the food fell short of expectations. The spicy shrimp tempura leaned more toward citrusy than spicy, and the portion was small given the price. For entrees, we tried the surf and turf and the stir fry with fried rice. Unfortunately, the steak lacked seasoning, and all the dishes arrived lukewarm rather than hot. Overall, the quality and flavor of the food didn’t justify the cost, leaving us disappointed.

   I will never return, it’s a huge turn off when you walk into a restaurant and you see a security guard seating in a chair with a pistol socializing with two individuals one with what looked like a comb hanging from his head. The entrance smelled like weed. Definitely do not recommend for an upscale restaurant.

   Food was subpar & totally overpriced. An entree of shrimp tacos had more cabbage than shrimp. Food quality was mediocre, dishes were dirty, bathrooms were dirty, staff was inattentive. And again, way overpriced. Won’t be returning.

   The food was just okay. The service was unmatched - very attentive. The happy hour menu has a variety but again the food was just okay. I’d return but will definitely manage my expectations.
