   Did not have a great experience tonight. Took forever to get food - had to send it back, let alone some water - had to ask 3 times. This was my second time at Kona - my first experience made me want to the restaurant again, tonight, not so much. Disappointed.

   We live in the neighborhood and I have to say the payment system is not what I would expect from a restaurant in Cherry Creek. We had a split bill for 5 people and ever individual had to know their dollar amount. It is not split by order. This is normal t very customer friendly at all. We will not return based on the payment system alone. This is what we would expect from eating at Apple Bees. I recognize it might be easier for the server (although we did have to have the server come over to fix a glass of wine that was charged for a bottle in error and to help explain the system) but the customer was not obviously first priority based on the payment system.

   The poke bowl was great. The surf and turf wasn’t that great. Meat was tough. Service was extremely slow even though the restaurant was pretty empty. Not worth going back.

   Korbin was our waiter. Great service and wonderful personality,so attentive to my old lady needs. But it is so loud in there. Being a little hard of hearing my guest have the talk extremely loud to be heard. So our conversation is very superficial. And it was my birthday. So I would rather just come alone so not talk is needed.

   Great steak and meatballs, it’s was amazing the soy sauce that they had with the meatballs. Will go again soon.

   We’ve visited Kona Grill several times before and always had a wonderful experience. I’m unsure if it’s due to restaurant week, but service was poor and our for delayed as per our server “the ticket was lost”. Definitely wished it was a better time for us.

   Everything was fine, but it was a really cold night, they had the doors wide open to the patio which is open air at the top and It was freezing in the dining room.

   We decided to give Kona Grill another chance for Denver Restaurant Week but it was a mistake, yet again. Our server was very nice and was trying hard, but the rest was a complete let down. It took 20 min to get our drinks (beer and a cocktail) and when they arrived it was the wrong cocktail. Ended up taking another 15 min to get the correct cocktail so 35 min before we had drinks. Ordered the meatballs and sushi for starters. Sushi was good, meatballs were dry and entirely cold. Went with the Kona Surf and Turf (extra $10 over Restaurant Week prices, by the way) and the Cilantro Lime Chicken for mains. Both were advertised as “skewers” for the shrimp and chicken, respectively. Neither of them were skewers. The filet in the Surf and Turf was tiny, with just three shrimp. The chicken was two thin breast-type pieces that were bone dry (literally some of the driest chicken we’ve ever eaten). Neither dish was particular warm, either. Dessert was a brownie with ice cream and cheesecake. Both were decent, although I assume not freshly made which is why they were harder to mess up. Overall, one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve ever had, and cemented our decision to never step foot in Kona Grill again.

    The food was flat and mediocre. The lettuce wraps were 75% cubed carrots and whatever else, but didn’t not taste like chicken at all, not to mention wilted lettuce. The sushi rice was tough and not true sushi at all. Bummer of a lunch today.
