LA BONNE TABLE is a cozy and intimate restaurant in the heart of the bustling neighborhood of Hillcrest. We serve country french food in a bistro fashion. Our menu consists of classic french dishes, a modest but excellent selection that will change with the seasons. We offer a romantic atmosphere and elegant setting, full bar and french beer on tap.     La Bonne Table has not disappointed us yet. We ate at four high end restaurants over the course of our anniversary weekend; LBT took the prize on pretty much all fronts. The ambiance is intimate and unassuming, professional and warm. We were greeted to our cozy wall-side table with celebratory champagne, a welcome surprise! We both started with the gorgeous onion soup gratinee, which was beyond excellent. My husband ordered the duck confit ( I usually order this, best in town), and I had a most delicious and perfectly done pork chop. In-between we ordered a French 75 and Boulevardier which are such good concoctions. This trip we shared chocolate mousse, the perfect end to a wonderful night. Our servers were friendly, unobtrusive, thoughtful and helpful with wine choice. What’s most impressive to me is how consistently wonderful LBT is. We’ll be back again and again.
