Travel down historic Market Street towards the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware and you will find La Fia Bistro. La Fia is an intimate dinner destination in a historic building located on the corner of 5th and Market. Chef Dwain Kalup's menu utlizes carefully sourced ingredients reflecting the seasons, local region and local farms. The menu at La Fia features small plates, pastas and creative entrees. Our cheese and charcuterie is one of a kind and not to be missed!

We went on a weekday night for my wife's early birthday celebration with our sons and were nicely impressed with the ambiance, excellent service, and delicious homemade and fresh food and pasta. The wine list is varied enough to find something good everyone enjoys easily. I chose Verdicchio Castelli Di Jesi DOC this time, which perfectly matched the Spanish Octopus and Squid ink Pasta. We are happy that the Wilmington, DE, downtown area is recovering and upgrading dining options and that this gem is not that far from home.

This was one of our many visits to La Fia and they never let us down. Friendly staff amazing food and drinks and our server Lindsey who 99% of the time serves us is by far one of the best servers we have ever had anywhere. We are leaving the area soon to travel the country but will be back to enjoy again. On but wait, the valentines menu was out of this world!!!!!

Another fantastic meal at La Fia, from start to finish: cocktails, food, incredible service. Wonderful, welcoming but chic ambience, and a great night out overall. The focaccia is a favorite starter, the pappardelle with a rich short rib based sauce is one of the best pasta dishes anywhere, and the cocktails are first rate (the Red Samurai is always amazing). Favorite place to eat in Wilmington, and just about anywhere!

La Fia is open for lunch now and we enjoyed a truly delish meal and excellent service from Jess! The tempura cauliflower, shrimp ceviche and fish and chips were all truly tasty! Can’t wait to go back!
