   Had the Valentin's day special, it was absolutely amazing! Great tartar, pasta, and semifreddo. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dinner, and think this is the best restaurant we've been to in Santa Cruz as residents of 4 years here :)

   Truly delicious Valentine’s Day dinner! The choices for each course were great. The only small disappointment was the olive oil cake; we were expecting something richer, and it was more like an angel food cake.

   La Posta has been and remains one of the top three restaurants in Santa Cruz and, truly, the whole Bay area. Yes, there are some great places in SF, but La Posta is competitive. Tonight I wasn't terribly hungry but I had the most exquisite baby carrots and crab croquettes. And the service was of course perfect. They're lucky to have such an amazing staff and a phenomenal chef. I do wish the portions were a bit bigger, but in the scheme of things economically speaking, they've managed to keep their prices pretty even. My friends had the most gorgeous Pizza I've seen in a very long time. Same goes for the pasta. They're from New York and they loved it, so that says a lot! I'm bringing another friend on Saturday. What can I say? I love this restaurant and it's in my neighborhood. How lucky am I?

   I love the food here and the service is great. Personally - and this really is just us - I found the live music a bit overwhelming when it moved to our end of the restaurant. We were a party of older diners, and my husband is a bit deaf even with hearing aids. He missed most of the conversation around the table, while also trying to adjust his hearing aids between the various settings for blocking background noise, and hearing the conversation. Eventually he gave up and just ate his food. My hearing is perfect but even I had to lean close to hear my companions. We would come back, the food really is great (I loved my funghi pizza) and the service impeccable. But I need to find out when the quiet nights are!

   I absolutely love this restaurant which is why I try to go each week I’m in town. I never had a bad meal it’s the best food in Santa Cruz.

   The food at La Posta is excellent as usual, and the music was fabulous. The only thing is the servers are being a little bit strange these days we go there all the time we’re familiar with the wine list and the menu and for some reason, the waiter actually read us the entire menu. My friend and I are both over 70 but we don’t have any visible physical impairments and I don’t really understand why the waiter it was so patronizing. Then, and this is a common problem with American restaurants, kept coming over and whenever he came over he just started talking to us. He didn’t wait and see when we were done talking or make eye contact to ask permission. He just interrupted over and over again.  my friend and I love La Posta and we will certainly go back again, but I don’t understand the strange behavior.

   Always love the food here! Our waiter was great and the kitchen was accommodating in making my friends pasta without a couple of ingredients she cant eat. And don’t miss their amazing walnut rosemary bread!!

    La Posta is one of the best, if not the best, restaurants in Santa Cruz. Fabulous food, great ambience, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. We ate there last night and found the menu to be as fresh and tasty as always. Five stars!
