    Saw an ad in my junk email for a Mardi Gras brunch at Lake Elmo Inn. I'd been there several times, enjoying each time. My friend had always wanted to go but hadn't been yet. Perfect time for us to go together. For $42 each it was well worth the cost. For the choices and amount of food through the meal, it was well worth the value. We were able to choose one dish from four different categories, such as starters, entrees, and two others. All were excellent with choices to go the Southern dish route in honor of the Mardi Gras theme. Everything was absolutely delicious! My roasted vegetable risotto was cooked to perfection. There were bottomless glasses of champagne as well and sumptuous breads. Each dish was so well prepared. We loved every single dish. For dessert there were three smaller desserts - a to-die-for brownie, a banana concoction that was lovely, and a small vanilla cupcake with icing. The perfect end to our meals. I lost count of the glasses of champagne! We can't wait for their next champagne brunch!

    A delightful place for a celebration. The Lake Elmo Inn is a very comfortable supper club for a quiet dinner. The food is very good and the ambiance is pleasant and soothing. Service is exceptional and friendly. It is worth the drive -- you won't be disappointed. We had the seafood platter, which was very good. Our only disappointment was the crab cakes that had too much pasta filler and too little crab. But the special complementary things make the occasion unique: a glass of champagne on your anniversary, the palate cleaning lemon sorbet cone, and the post dinner strawberry dipped in chocolate (a sufficient finale if you can withstand the temptation of their fabulous desserts are made in-house).

    We hadn't been to the Lake Elmo Inn for at least a decade...neighbors mentioned that is was one of their favorite restaurants so we thought we'd give it a try again. We will be back - Great food, lovely setting and fabulous service!
