   In town for business, I selected this restaurant based on the food reviews here on Open Table! The food was delicious. Our server was impeccable with her table service, describing the various dishes as well as making dinner recommendations. I will go back. I have one note to add for management that almost derailed a positive experience. Our party of 3 arrived at 7:50 pm for our 8:00 pm reservation. As we walked in we noticed a family of 3 seated in the waiting area, as we approached the hostess podium we overheard the father state to the wife “why didn’t we make reservations?!” As I approached the hostess she greeted us warmly and asked if we had reservations and I answered “Yes, we have reservations for 8:00 pm” She then stated loudly “ Please take a seat, there are 2 parties ahead of you with an 8pm reservation as well.” As she pointed to the family that we knew DIDN”T have a reservation at all and another family behind us, also seated and waiting. I pressed further and asked “For an 8pm, seating” ? To which she answered “Yes!” And motioned to where we could sit and wait for her to seat the other two parties ahead of us first. As I was contemplating should we stay or leave, because this was certainly disingenuous on her part, she suddenly appears and advises our table was ready and seats our party of 3 ahead of the other two parties already waiting, one of which we knew had no reservation at all. I’m assuming now the other party did not have a reservation either. I’m guessing she had a change of heart. Honesty and integrity fuels a businesses reputation. Always treat your customers fairly and act with integrity. Our servers more than made up for this unfortunate first impression. My colleagues and I enjoyed our meal, Christmas 🎄 carolers serenaded the restaurant during our meal and it made it all the more pleasant.

   Best Weiner schnitzel I have ever had! Everything was excellent! My husband had the prime rib and we shared the apple strudel for dessert. They also make a wonderful martini.

   Lovely restaurant and ambience. Our dinners were absolutely delicious and the wait staff knowledgeable, attentive and friendly!

   We always dinner at Lancelot’s every ski trip. Our dinner last night was great as always. We had Prime Rib-which was cooked perfectly. We also had the Beet Salad which was delicious. A trip to Vail must include dinner at Lancelots.

   Disappointing Experience at Lancelot in Vail Our recent visit to Lancelot in Vail was a letdown from start to finish. While we had high hopes for the evening, the experience was marred by several issues, starting with the service provided by our waitress, GG. Unfortunately, it seemed like basic hospitality and attention to detail were not a priority. To start, multiple items we requested were either forgotten or arrived late. When the food finally did come out, it was lukewarm at best—hardly the quality you’d expect at a restaurant of this caliber. GG’s demeanor throughout the evening was lackluster and unenthusiastic, making the whole experience feel more like a chore than a dining event. What ultimately ensured we won’t be returning, however, was her behavior at the end of the meal. After I left a tip, GG came back to the table and asked if the amount I left was correct. This was both unprofessional and incredibly uncomfortable. To make matters worse, when I politely said, “Have a good evening,” she dismissed me with a low “mhm,” which came across as rude and dismissive. This experience was disappointing and far from what we expected. While the ambiance of Lancelot might be nice, the service and food quality left much to be desired. We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this establishment to others based on our visit.

   A delicious meal in a casual space with great service and ambience. Meat and fish cooked to perfection. Service knowledgeable and friendly. Very comfortable. Highly recommend.
