A San Diego tradition since 1969, the Brigantine has received numerous accolades during our 40+ year history: "BEST SEAFOOD", "BEST CASUAL SEAFOOD", "BEST HAPPY HOUR", and even "BEST SWORDFISH IN THE WORLD", according to USA Today - just to name a few. Well-known for our signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish & Crème Brûlée, the Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks & grilled meats. A favorite destination for locals & tourists alike, the Coronado Brigantine is located in the heart of the village, immediately adjacent to the historic Hotel Del Coronado. The service and ambiance were 5-star. The food was good but was not served warm so that was disappointing. We had a very enjoyable lunch with the chocolate pie a definite highlight. We will be back but hope the kitchen gets sorted out so meals are served warm.

Arrived here at 11:30 and they weren’t serving their full lunch menu yet; just breakfast and salad/pizzas from their lunch menu. The ricotta pancakes were very delicious. The ricotta had a bit of pineapple in it, but it’s served on the side so it works for those who might not like pineapples. We also ordered the Barbara pizza with Italian sausage, which was very tasty. The meat omelette was pretty big, plenty of meat inside, and topped with bolognese sauce. The layout of the shop is unique and they have a nice little grocery with some wine and Italian food items.

Arlo was our server. He was very nice and knowledgeable. We had a good time and the food was delivered hot and in good time. We ordered a big variety. Definitely get the Brulata appetizer. Delicious and fresh. The Rigatoni in pink sauce, yummy and the Lamb Chops, excellent. The calamari breading was not the best a the gnocchi was very starchy. Overall a great experience. We will come back. Oh, also Lemoncello cake and liquor is made in house and it’s very good to round off the meal!

Amy tended to our every need with jovial energy and a lovely smile all evening! The presentations and the dishes were outstanding from appetizer to dessert. Drinks were wonderful with no skimping on presentation or strength! Su chefs delivered our dishes and the manager visited our table several times to make sure our 36th Anniversary dinner experience was going smoothly. Seréa is absolutely worth every penny!!! The king salmon, filet mignon, jumbo shrimp, and scallops were fantastically flavored and prepared! Vegetables were cooked to perfection and dessert was unreal cheesecake and strawberries in a white chocolate conch shell! Top notch and literally one of the best dining experiences we've ever had! Thank you Amy and Seréa for a wonderful evening!

Seneca is the perfect restaurant for a special celebration. I took my good friend there for her birthday and from the moment we were greeted by the smiling hostess until the very end of service, we were treated exceptionally well. The service was extremely professional, yet warm and friendly. The food was phenomenal and we took our time and savored every delicious bite. We never felt rushed, despite it being a very busy night. Our table had a view of San Diego Bay, the airport, and a northwesterly view of the city. It was beautiful. We started with the arancini and scampi, which were both so delicious. We shared two pasta dishes - Cavatelli All Sugo Di Angelo and the Cacio E Pepe. I was a little sad that they changed the style of the Casio E Pepe, it was more like a macaroni & cheese, but was still tasty. The Cavatelli was perfect though! We ordered a dessert and they brought over a complimentary cannoli with a birthday candle for my friend. I highly recommend Seneca to anyone looking for a special place for not only a celebration, but to celebrate a wonderful meal.
