- JJONVIPIowa •32 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 28, 2025Not as solid of service as I have received in the past. The hostess sat me right away, but then I waited a fair amount of time to be greeted by the server. I placed my order, start with a house salad, and then the steak frites, medium rare. And a glass of water, to go with the beer that I brought from the casino. After a while, the server brought my water, and my salad. I had to ask for utensils, because no one brought them with, when they sat me. 4 minutes later, my steak came out. Kind of a bummer to be only four bites into the salad, and sit and watch the steak get cold. But, maybe the server was new, or maybe the kitchen sent the food out too early. I guess I'll never know The food was all very good, the steak was cooked to order. And the flavors were all excellent.More info35 Brew StreetPrice: Moderate• Unspecified• Northwood•4
- SSusanIowa •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 28, 2024It was big city great! There were three in our party and we each had different starters. Caesar salad, wedge salad and French onion soup which were all fabulous with such presentation! Our main entrees were also a work of art. I had sea bass in a chanterelle sauce, my husband had duck and our son had venison. The venison was medium well and was ordered medium rare but that could have been a misunderstanding. It was delicious anyway. The chef walked around to all tables checking on our food. We had dessert of molten lava cake with ice cream and a crème brûlée. All were wonderful. We had not been here before but will definitely return.More infoThe SurfsidePrice: Moderate• American• Clear Lake•4.5
