Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel.     Sophie did a great job of taking care of us. Little things like checking on us, as the sushi was coming out slowly. The food was great. My son and his girlfriend had the sushi (BOGO on Mondays) they really enjoyed it. My wife had the the Tuna appetizer, great. I had the Piggy FRied Rice. Very good, but so much food. I took some home. Greeat beer, great ambiance. I recommend the place highly!

    We had a nice meal again. My wife had the halibut entree and I had a Nantucket scallop scampi special-both delicious. Our server, Matty, was delightful. We shared crab cake appetizer and I tried the Azorean Old Fashion cocktail which was very good but the maple syrup doesn’t mix well and leaves pure syrup at the bottom of the drink-too thick and sweet. My wife enjoyed a glass of cab wine. We were too full to consider dessert. Very busy place, as always, bustling with activity

    A lovely afternoon lunch with close friends. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Food was excellent and, special requests were not a problem. Preference of a booth, is always more comfortable for conversing, as it provides a bit of privacy. I always enjoy my visits to Joe's. Grateful for your hospitality.
