Wow! First timer and took my cousin out and it was her first time as well. Terrence was… how do I put this? PERFECTION! The moment he walked up to the table, he brought a smile to our faces, was inviting, informative, and energetic in a way that totally matched the vibes of MDRD. There was quite a large table of loud businessmen next to us, but thankfully they finished up within 45 mins or so of us taking a seat. Grateful for that because I felt like we were having to shout across our two top to hear each other over their booming voices. This obviously had nothing to do with the restaurant, but it felt worth mentioning if you are sitting along the booths behind the bar. The tables are close so everything felt very intimate with the couples on each side of us. It was cute though and the couples next to us felt like old friends as Terrence brought us all together to talk our favorite cocktails so far, what glassware we loved, and then we would all go back about our business. It was absolutely lovely and will 100% return. Excellent views! Excellent vibes! I definitely felt like I was in a city bigger than Grand Rapids during this dinner.

We cleaned our plates! The new sorghum pepper fried chicken was great. Our old standard of the honey dusted fried dark meat chicken was, as always, fabulous. We alllll had the collard greens- yummy! I tried the chicken tortilla soup as a side & I can't wait to have it again. Your sweet tea is the best in this area. (Being from the South, we think we're experts!)

Our waiter Chris was amazing from start to finish and his assistant Brianna was on top of everything as well. I may have got names mixed up but we were celebrating my fiancés birthday and I’d recommend to anyone it was phenomenal. 10/10!

Seafood focused, with good wine and champagne selection. Only a couple of smaller steak options. Better service than the Chop House or Ruth Chris nearby.

Great experience! We went for our anniversary and they were amazing. Our table was right by the window, we had a great view of the river. I got the New York strip steak with potato purée and it was delicious, steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. We also got the banana crème brûlée, it was very good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Overall amazing, we will definitely be coming here more!
