Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores; although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name, it also has a very British name - John Dory. Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ and as Smith is the most common name in English, we decided it sits well with our ethos - we want to be accessible to all.Setting us apart from the rest is our commitment to working with local fishmongers who run out to the coast each evening to collect day-boat fish and local ingredients. 'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch. Sunday roasts with 'all thetrimming's' - we tried beef and pork - had everything a Sunday roast shouldhave. Somewhere rather spiffing to go' (Fay Machsler, Evening Standard)

Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu containing all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. Ouvert en 1996, le Havelock Tavern est l'un des restos-bars d'origine de Londres. Contrairement à beaucoup d'autres qui se sont succédé, cet établissement a très peu changé depuis qu'il a ouvert ses portes. Le Havelock Tavern est avant tout un pub servant une excellente cuisine plutôt qu'un restaurant aménagé dans un ancien pub. L'ambiance est animée et informelle afin que chacun puisse manger, boire et se sentir à l'aise. Cet établissement n'accepte pas les réservations ni les commandes effectuées au bar. Le Havelock Tavern n'est pas un établissement sophistiqué. Il souhaite simplement que vous passiez un agréable moment de détente. Parmi ses clients, le Havelock Tavern compte notamment des habitants et d'autres personnes ayant fait le voyage pour passer un après-midi ou une soirée dans cet établissement. Vous pourrez aussi bien y voir une bande de copains attablés en train de discuter autour de quelques pintes qu'un couple en train de dévorer son menu de trois plats. Ce resto-bar ne diffuse pas de musique. Ce sont les clients qui, avec l'unique son de leur voix, donnent le ton et créent l'ambiance.
