Been to Duke’s a few times over the years and it’s always a pleasure. Top notch service and really awesome menu — the chef is very creative. I had the Barbara — vegan pizza with jackfruit which is now my go-to order. Everyone was happy with their dishes and complimented the imaginative flavour combinations. The starter was Szechuan green beans — the sauce was so good we asked for bread to soak it up the leftovers with! My only complaint was the folks at the next table. We were having an intimate family dinner for the first half of our evening. A party of about 10 then appeared and was seated next to us. They may have been drinking already, but regardless they were quite raucous. I’ve been here on busier nights and the noise has never been a problem. As a result the evening was cut short. I don’t expect the restaurant to be held liable for customer behaviour. However, it would have been nice if the server had offered to switch our table. This is the only time I have been motivated to give this restaurant a less than perfect review. I am sure your experience will be as wonderful as ours usually are!

Our first experience at Derrick’s was excellent and we will definitely be returning. Great service, attentive and not intrusive. And definitely great steak, as advertised. We all know it’s getting increasingly difficult to find a great steakhouse. Derrick’s delivers.

Love the ambience with nostalgic pictures of movies stars and movie theatre lobby feel. Our server was lovely and accommodating and attentive even when it got busy. Best happy hour food choices. Cocktails were great-lychee martini was flavourful, lychee flavour I was hoping for was not the star. Will have to come back for the movie and dinner service. Very unique restaurant-love it!

Food and service was excellent, really enjoyed our evening out.
