Had lunch and everything was superb. The service is outstanding. You can tell that Tyler the wait staff has been trained. The food was delicious and the portions are large. Best lunch we have had out in a long time. Highly recommend

Tonight was our first experience at Taverna! We were blown away by the quality of the food! The esthetic of the restaurant was an added bonus! We will definitely be back for another visit!

I’ve been going to this restaurant since the late 90s off and on and it’s always been a wonderful experience and tonight proved the same and I am so thrilled that they still exist and that they are a true staple anytime I stay at Montchanin. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Mendenhall Inn did a great job of making a Valentine's Day dinner very enjoyable. We were seated at the time of our reservation, our waitress was very attentive. Our wine and bread and butter arrived quickly, followed by our first course ( French Onion soup of broth of us) within 10 minutes. Even though the restaurant had a slightly limited holiday menu, there were plenty of good choices. We had roasted duckling and the crab stuffed shrimp. both were served with mashed potatoes and French green beans. Everything was delicious and served at a very good pace. We were surprised at how efficient the service was consider the at full capacity dining room on a holiday evening. We skipped dessert because we were so full from the generous portions ( the outstanding French Onion soup with tons of cheese is very filling). It was a delightful evening in a welcoming, comfortable high end restaurant. top notch, its is worth the drive to get to Mendenhall ! A great place for special occasion or date night dining.

Our server Larry was knowledgeable, gracious, and checked in with our party just often enough. His service elevated our experience and he even caught in passing it was one of our birthdays. Sparkler on our shared dessert was a nice touch without making the birthday gal the center of the entire restaurant's attention.
