Our waiter Anyhony was knowledgable about each course item. He was pleasant and accommodating. We loved our experience. The visit was for my sister's birthday and she cannot stop talking about it. The ambiance is to die for!!!!

I flew in from Arcata for dinner reservations for Valentine with the Mrs. We are staying at the Westin next door. Easy walk to WG. The hostess was amazing, we were seated within 5 min of our rezo and near the Jazz musician. Our waiter was Brandon, amazing experience! We had spent Valentines 2024 WG at oyster bar. This evening rather than order off the menu we wanted to try the 4 course. I don’t have a lot of experience in fine dining and 4 courses with wine pairing. Brandon was very helpful with sharing how the menu would be served this evening. The Mrs she’s used to fine dining but for an island boy from Samoa it was a new experience for me. Amazing experience and for those who may have not experienced fine dining 4 course with wine pairing just ask the your wait person for help. I’m never afraid to ask if I do not know. The fork thing, the many utensils, the different glasses, etc 😂 Definitely will plan a dinner outing for the entire family, 12 total, this summer when I’m back in town. Our female server was very pleasant and brought food so that we didn't feel rushed. We haven't been to this restaurant in a long time and will return. The food was excellent and served hot despite the huge crowd outside in the lobby as it was Valentines Day. We had the valentines surf and turf with salad and sides of mac and cheese and au gratin potatoes - everything including the extra large shrimp cocktail appetizer was tasty!

The Thanksgiving Day dinner was excellent. It was crowded and service was very busy. My only complaint is with OpenTable. When I went onto the Mimi's website to make the reservation, it directed me to use the app. It appeared to work seamlessly. I received a request through OpenTable, both through text and email, to confirm my reservation, which I did. However, when I showed up at the Mimi's Restaurant, they did not have my reservation. Apparently there were many others who used OpenTable, and the restaurant did not have their reservations. This appeared to be an issue between OpenTable and Mimi's. Obviously on one of the busiest days of the year, it caused chaos. There was already a long list of walk-ins that the employees were attempting to accommodate, only to have to add those who had OpenTable reservations that did not go through. There were many angry people who simply left the restaurant not willing to wait behind all of the walk-ins. Thanks to the employees, who scrambled to find us a table, we had to wait but not a very long time. I give five stars to Mimi's and zero stars to OpenTable who needs to fix their system. Will not use them again.

This might be my favorite place to dine for a fun, casual, and delicious meal! We love taking people for their first yakitori experience because it’s so unique. As usual, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly and our guests were delighted. I highly recommend the pork belly wrapped shiso basil. We all enjoyed it so much that I ordered it twice!
