Restaurants near Wheeler Guard Station

The dining room is a magnificent hall. The surrounding view is breathtaking, especially in the daylight for breakfast. Our servers were great. The hotel is in the midst of some construction, so the main kitchen has not reopened yet. Therefore all meals are buffet. That is why I gave the food 4 stars. For buffet food was good and plentiful, but I will come back another time to order off the menu for the 5 star food experience. The experience over all was worth it.

Steak was outstanding. Salmon was very good. Our waiter was fine but we felt very rushed. It also took a long time for our food to come out. However, when it did, it was very good. Rose, our waiter’s assistant, was very kind and friendly.

We have been wanting to try the Branch for a while and finally had the opportunity to do so. We kept hearing positive things and wanted to see for ourselves. They did not disappoint! From being greeted when walking in, to the service throughout our dinner, it was amazing. But the best of all was the food. I am not sure what Matt does to prepare his dishes better than anyone else, but he does it! Our food was amazing! With the closeness of the tables, we were able to speak and compare with others and we all said the same thing. It did not matter what people ordered for dinner, they were all completely satisfied. We will definitely be back as often as possible!

GREAT spot in an unexpected location. Bonus: Great cocktails and music... and the food was delicious. It's cozy so we made friends with all the other diners.

Wonderful staff, excellent presentation, clever combination of first and last courses. A highlight of our Sierra trip.
