Ouvert en 1980, La Ripaille est l'un des plus anciens restaurants du West Village. Certains des habitués viennent y manger depuis 25 ans. Toute l'équipe veille à ce que chacun s'y sente le bienvenu, des célébrités qui le fréquentent aux enfants qui y trouveront des jeux et des crayons de couleur, en passant par les gens du Village. Le propriétaire Alain Laurent s'implique dans la cuisine de La Ripaille tous les jours. Il parcourt quotidiennement le marché pour trouver des produits frais, et compose souvent le menu du jour selon ses trouvailles. Cela permet de proposer une cuisine unique et de saison. Il agrémente la carte des vins, qui est en constante évolution, avec les meilleurs vins disponibles. Le restaurant est en lui-même magnifique, avec une terrasse pour l'été et un foyer à l'arrière pour l'hiver. Des fleurs fraîches décorent chaque table et les chandelles placées sur les tables illuminent les affiches françaises et les toiles.
