- PPamelaGreater Boston •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI have been dining at Joe’s Original for many years. Everything is always wonderful. Great service, food and ambience. Perfect for couples, groups or families. The regular menu has many choices, as well as offerings of seasonal/occasional menu items. Joe’s engages with local farmers and vendors to assure food freshness. You will always be greeted with a smile. The wait staff are happy, friendly and attentive which proves Joe’s is a great place to dine. It is very easy to reserve a table online. There is plenty of parking as well.More infoJoe's Original Kitchen + BarPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Dartmouth•4.7

We had a reservation for 4 and had to wait a few minutes, but that was fine. Everyone from the hostess station was efficient and friendly, and our waitress Corrin N was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, giving my wife a good recommendation. All the tables were full and our waitress had several tables to serve, but she kept checking on us. All 4 dinners were perfect and the bartenders did a great job with the drinks during this busy time. Keep up the good work Bocca, you have an amazing staff and chefs.More infoBOCCAPrice: Moderate• Italian• Fairhaven•4.8
- GGuyGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThe Black Whale was excellent. The service was perfect, and the food was delicious. My date ordered the Salmon with sweet potatoes, and I ordered the Ribeye with green beans and Mac & Cheese Au gratin. My only complaint would be the fact that my steak was overcooked. I ordered medium rare, and it came well done. But honestly, it wasn't much of an issue because the steak was perfectly seasoned and deliciously juicy. I savored every bite. I will definitely be going back to the Black Whale.More infoThe Black WhalePrice: Expensive• Seafood• New Bedford•4.8
- JJames MichaelVIPGreater Boston •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoToday was my second visit to the Candela Cucina.I had mentioned when making the reservation it was my good friend’s birthday, and requested the main dining area for its warm ambience. Imagine my surprise when we were greeted at the hostess station by Peter, the well dressed, impeccably mannered manager who presented my friend a hand written card on lovely stationery. In beautiful, legible printing we were thanked for choosing Candela to celebrate her special occasion. Great way to establish a diners’ connection in a personal manner. We began our culinary journey with a Caesar salad. The salad was tossed with a traditional but light in texture dressing. The exclamation point was the Parmesan flat crisp covering three fourths of the Romaine. A welcome substitution from the usual boring croutons. Our selection of the 100 layer Lasagna was a wise decision. A very generously sized rectangular piece of homemade ever so thin flat sheets of pasta with layers of ricotta did not disappoint. A red sauce with a bold, bright flavor and an occasional soft tomato globe was ladled over the dish topped with mild fresh mozzarella with a light hand, and extra sauce pooled around the edges of the dish for those preferring more gravy. We both ordered decaf coffee to accompany our meal. I am a coffee snob and the flavor was not too bold or bitter or watered down. On both of my visits I chose the made in house Tiramisu. The dessert size is made for sharing. The kitchen baker knows their stuff, and this was exemplified by the sponge cake layers. They were not the usual lady fingers, and the drenching of coffee in any cake can be tricky. but the cake layers were evenly balanced with flavor. The mascarpone was not heavily sweetened. The dessert was lightly dusted with confectionery sugar. A beautifully presented end of meal treat. Brandon was a very attentive waiter. He did not hover, but was attentive in bringing focaccia before our salad, warming up our coffee and giving us a quick glance.More infoCandela CucinaPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Italian• New Bedford•4.6
