There are two dining spaces at Cotswold House, as well as an option to have lunch or dinner at our sister property The Noel Arms directly opposite.The juxtaposition of our relaxed Cocktail Bar area and sophisticated Hidcote Brasserie & Grill restaurant creates a two-concept dining experience. Linked together, these spaces offer the best of both worlds. The Chipping Campden Cocktail Bar offers an informal dining experience, this is where the bar is located so expect a livelier vibe, cocktail shakers, the gurgling espresso machine and locals coming and going. Dogs are welcome too. Hidcote Brasserie & Grill is a little more sedentary, romantic even, and is located in a beautiful high ceilinged Regency room. The same menu is served in both spaces for dinner.The Chipping Campden Cocktail Bar offers a wide range of wines by the glass, as well as an enviable Gin selection. The meal was excellent and good value. My slight reservations were that I had to keep reminding them I was gluten intolerant. They got it in the end but I had disclosed this when making the reservation. I had also told them in advance that it was my wife’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. There was no acknowledgment of this, don’t expect much, but even a congratulation would have been nice.

Excellent, efficient and friendly service. Burgers were absolutely delicious and arrived quickly. The overall vibe was relaxed and chilled. Loved the decor. A great place to eat.

The food and drinks for lunch were good and the service was friendly and reasonably efficient, just a little slow at times. They dealt well with one food allergy and overall, we were pleased to Kavenagh lunch there.
