Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018. Perfect place for a quiet couple dinner enjoying a glass of wine, a quality plate of pasta and a scoop of gelato or affogato. The lobster pasta (sorry - horrible with the Italian names) was delicious - as has been anything we try. The service is knowledgable, friendly and prompt. Not our first time - it is a regular stop!
