Restaurants near Buena Vista Park

My friend and I went to Brickman's for Thanksgiving today. It was the best restaurant Thanksgiving meal I've ever had! It was buffet style and there were so many options. Everything you could want. Quality and taste were perfection. Price was very reasonable, too. Ambiance was very festive for the holidays with lots of attention to the details. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We had reservations and we were seated right away even though it was packed. There was a cute bar area too with a nice view of the golf course and an outdoor dining area option. It's a hidden gem in my neighborhood in Lake San Marcos. I'll definitely be back!

Excellent venue for lunch with view of Aviara Golf Course in foreground and Batiquitos Lagoon beyond, very scenic. Dependent on weather, outdoor seating would be the best option! Richard Blais' preparations for lunch for our party of 4 was delicious! I plan to return for dinner as today's lunch was our first visit to Ember & Rye. My wife and I have followed Richard Blais since he first came to San Diego. We enjoyed his fine dining presentations many years when he was Chef/Owner at Juniper & Ivy. We look forward to many more meals at Ember & Rye!

Wow! I do not think I will be eating sushi anywhere else! This was so amazingly fresh, literally ALL of the fish melts like butter. The freshest of fresh! We started with the garlic edamame and Tuna Tostada, which was amazing. The garlic edamame sauce wash perfect. Then we ordered 4 rolls. I really loved the flavor of the Padre Roll, all protein, tons of fish....no skimping here. We also had the Del Mar, Yellowtail mania and King Salmon. All explosions of flavors. Was this way too much food for us and our daughter, yes....but we didn't care we wanted to try them all for our first time. We also found it cute that there was a heart post-it note on our table that said "Hi Jamie" when we got there. There was also a man singing some old school songs which was enjoyable! Go!

We like the ambiance. The food is inconsistent though. Last time we were there, the Scarface pasta was much more creamy and had more mushrooms. this time not so much and the dish wasn't as warm as it could have been. Our waitress was nice but she forgot a few things and then overcharged us. We caught it and it was all good. I spoke to the manager ahead of time because we were perhaps planning a large party in the near future for wedding. She was expecting us but she never came over to the table to speak with us. Anyway, we'll probably be back
