Fantastic pizza and surprisingly good meatballs with fast, friendly service.

Very easy to find. The food was excellent; we had the crab cakes, ba scallops with pineapple risotto, and the swordfish special. We had dessert downstairs at Hyde speakeasy.

We ended Karen and Al’s stay in Providence with a delightful dinner at Cafe Nuovo. The sophisticated elegance of the restaurant combined with the flavorful menu selections made this choice perfect for a President’s Day celebration. The ambiance was upscale with soulful music playing in the background that made conversation easy and enjoyable. As we made our dinner selections, the waitstaff was accommodating to our desires whether it be for a dish that was “off menu” or substituting certain dishes with others. Each appetizer, entree and dessert was carefully prepared and presented with care. The Dover sole, which was prepared table side, was fresh, flaky and had a sauce that complimented its tender taste perfectly. My escargot had the well balanced flavors of garlic and oil which allowed me to soak the toast points while savoring the tenderest of snails in each mouthful. The burrata salads with strawberries were not only delicious but pleasing to the eye as well. It was a pleasure to visit this restaurant again and be able to have a dining experience that successfully checked all of our dining objectives.

The carne asada entree and viva supreme tacos were outstanding, as was the red sangria and the strawberry margarita! Also, the service was terrific, with the owner himself coming to our table.

Amazing food!! We enjoyed everything from drinks & apps to dessert!! Service was amazing and everyone was so friendly!! It was our 35th wedding anniversary and I’m so glad that we celebrated it there!! Thanks so much everyone!!
