North Carolina chef and restaurateur, Jim Noble founded Rooster’s: A Noble Grille with the intention of being relevant without being trendy and to impress without being pretentious. That commitment has carried us through two decades and continues to lead us on today.Knowing that simple food is harder to execute given there is nowhere to hide the flaws, we go to great lengths to source quality ingredients from local farmers and purveyors. We then take all the time necessary to develop their flavors —using both European and modern techniques—always working from scratch. Our menu features tried and true staples like our spit-roasted chicken cooked over open fire as well as progressive daily specials and elevated Small Plates featuring Executive Chef Brad Pennell. At Rooster’s, you’ll always find something new served with an honest commitment and consistently warm care.

To start, the restaurant is simply beautiful during the holiday season. When we walked in we were greeted with smiles and warmth from a wood burning fire in the lobby area. Once seated, we had a view of yet another fireplace. Service was spot on and the wine very nice. However, it is the food that stole the evening. I had the ribeye rare and my wife had the ribeye medium rare. Both were cooked to perfection. The sides were delicious. We were too stuffed to have desert there but brought one home for a treat the next day. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely lunch celebrating our 32nd anniversary at JoLo Winery on Dec 20, 2024. The service was beyond friendly! We were given a glass of their delicious Twinkles in honor of our anniversary! We had the crab dip appetizer which is so delicious! My husband tried a lunch special, beer battered halibut which was as light as air and melt in your mouth! This came with a side of crispy French fries. I had the chicken pesto flatbread which was also very tasty! I had a glass of their Devil’s Hill wine and I highly recommend this earthy red! We love the ambience and quality of this family winery! It is even more beautiful in the warmer times of the year!

We had a great weekend away at Primland. Ate a few meals at Leatherflower and loved every one. Staff is super kind and attentive. A lot of locally sourced items which I think is pretty awesome. Would definitely come back.

I would only add signage to the building itself. The road is marked but the restaurant has no visible signs so we drove around wondering if it was someone’s large mountain home or not. No lights and no signs.
