Restaurants near Chicago Shakespeare Theater

Took my husband for his birthday and wasn’t able to get in the dining room as no reservations available for my timeframe. Was worried about the ‘bar’ area but it was very nice as well. Beautiful place with great service and we loved every item we ordered. My husband loved it.

Lex our server was fabulous from start to finish! He explained the starters and entrees beautifully. We got the braised short ribs which were flavorful and tender just as described. It was our first time, from the host warmly greeting us while they gave the kids a stuffie each. The girls ordered from the kids menu which gave them a beautiful mug to take home! The fairy that went our granting wishes was truly magical! And to top it all off they took complimentary family photo to remember the outing. Definitely will be back and start a new family Christmas tradition! Thank you again Lex and staff for making it a very special and memorable evening!

Waiter was amazing a bigger group checked on us regularly fixed our orders that was not to our liking and made sure we got out in enough time to do our activities afterwards

We had the mushroom on bread and calamari for appetizers, they were very salty. The cream cheese and bread neutralized the saltiness of the mushrooms. For the calamari, we had to wash it down with the lemon and dip to relieve the saltiness. The soup of the day which was chicken tortilla was also very salty according to husband. The kids steak was great as well as the quesadillas! Seated immediately, service was quick, staff were friendly, ambiance was nice. Great experience overall but should really tone down a bit on the salt.

We had a fantastic experience, despite the low hanging fog. The food was superb, the staff very attentive and friendly, and the noise was blessedly low.
