Service was lovely and the food was amazing. Very nice wine and cocktail menu to start, then into the bread which was very good and had the Caesar salad with scotch egg and the scotch egg was the star. We also ordered the bone-in ribeye which was cooked rare as we asked for and delicious! The Beef Wellington was worth all the hype and our sides of Mac n cheese and Brussel sprouts were also delicious. To end the evening we had the sticky toffee pudding and easily one of the best desserts ever had. Yes, it was expensive but it was worth the price given the service, quality of food and experience. Really enjoyed the evening.

Next, I tried the sweet potato soup, which was a pleasant surprise—velvety, slightly sweet, and well-spiced, making it a comforting and flavorful choice. For the main course, I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked—moist on the inside with a beautifully crisp exterior. The seasoning complemented the natural flavor of the fish without overpowering it. The dish was well-plated and paired nicely with the sides. Overall, the service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. Grunauer truly delivers on quality and flavor, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined yet hearty dining experience in Kansas City. I’ll definitely be returning!

Great place to eat, tv’s , great bar and service as well, I will go back!

went there for a pre-Valentines Day dinner. It was great. I had PeI oysters on the half shell and they were sweet and delicious. My wife had a cup of lobster bisque which was excellent. I then had the scallops which were delicious and my wife had the french creole orrichette which was a huge portion and very good. Out server was excellent.

The food was delicious as always. This has become our “go to” restaurant when we want to have a great meal with excellent service.
