Fabulous design and terrific food. One of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever experienced.

Magical night watching the sunset while enjoying oysters and a martini. The staff was friendly, helpful and provided wonderful service throughout the evening. We would have preferred softer music. The terrace was a bit quieter. The restroom are beautiful with views of nature. This is an upscale restaurant. The food was outstanding. We plan to return again soon

My wife and I make an annual pilgrimage to Rosa Negra when we take our spring vacation in Cancun!  Overall, the restaurant never disappoints. The location and atmosphere is stunning, the food outstanding, and the fire show and music, energetic and pleasing - even to two forever young 71 year olds! We were seated on the outside deck, undercover, which gave us a beautiful view of the water and the fire show later in the evening. We started with the Buratta and figs with a balsamic reduction - always amazing and didn’t disappoint this year. My wife had the Norwegian salmon on sweet potatoes (carmelized) served in a cast iron pan that made the fish and potatoes a little crispy. The fish was cooked perfectly to a medium temperature - moist but cooked through. It was mouth watering! I had the USDA Prime NY Strip - an amazing cut of meat cooked perfectly at a medium rare temperature. The grilled asparagus as a side was the perfect accompanying dish for both of us. My wife had a nice Sauvignon Blanc with the fish and I had a Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah blend with the steak. We finished the meal with the chocolate bomb - a chocolate sphere filled with ice cream, nuts and fruit cracked open tableside! The service was the only negative of our experience. Daniel seemed to have a hard time understanding/hearing us, which led to confusion about the wine order and the main course selection, leaving the table after ordering my wife’s fish, having not taken my steak or side order. Then at the end of the night we were presented with the wrong check and when presented with the correct check it included an item we didn’t order and failed to provide the 10% Westin Lagunamar discount. This is the first time the service at Rosa Negra was less than stellar, so we’ll give them a pass. We will return!
