Restaurants near Combe Haven

As per previous visits - the food is delicious, the service is friendly and efficient. The small plates fried chicken, the pork belly and the dhal are sensational. There seemed to be an electrical issue in our preferred part of the restaurant - near the open kitchen, as they were using pull lights instead of the down lighters and the electric radiators were not on. However, it didn’t impact on our experience as we were warm enough,( that might have been the chilli 🤣) and the lighting still made for a lovely ambience. I’ve eaten here many times and they never disappoint. Food is amazing and the service is always welcoming, I can not fault it and even a little penguin sat on top of my Christmas pud!

This is not just gastro pub food, this is a place that creates beautiful well thought out food, generous portion sizes, and extremely great value if you visit midweek and have their fixed price menu. There is always something a little bit different on the menu and that’s what makes it so interesting. Would highly recommend.

The Crown is one of my favourite places to take visitors to Hastings. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is always great. And it’s a lovely little pub setting in Hastings old town.

Exceptional food & service. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going again.
