Restaurants near Comfort Inn University Durham

We dined here on Christmas Eve. It was busy, but we had a reservation and were seated right away. I had dined here before, but my mom, husband, and 8-year-old had not. First - our server was attentive, patient, friendly - all the good things. Second, the food came out quickly and was wonderful! We enjoyed all small plates, of which my favorite has always been the beets and brussels salad. My 8-year-old loves mussels and scarfed them up - she was very reluctant to share! :) They do have a kids menu, though, and she got the chicken tenders as a kid often will. Also yummy. I love that this place is light and spacious... yes, there are lots of tables and it's a bit noisy, but that just means it's a popular restaurant. I highly recommend this place for any occasion.

On a very busy Christmas Eve, we had a snall(not unexpected) wait; again when we were seated. Once our server came, the evening flowed beautifully. Drink selection was varied, there were a few specials that were excellent, wait time was minimal, and all four meals were done to perfection. Dessert was a bonus, and everything was well timed. We had an event to attend after our meal, and we had no problem with timing. The evening was exceptional!

Love the new look of the dining room and the very comfortable chairs. Good menu options for our table. The oysters were perfectly made, could have had 2 orders. Everyone enjoyed themselves

We had a wonderful experience celebrating our daughter’s 13th birthday. Our server was lovely and very attentive. The chef was amazing. He came out to talk to me about my allergies and assured me what I was ordering was free of my allergens. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Always a favorite for over 40 plus years. My wife and I moved away from Raleigh and are only able to go to Kanki when we visit our children in Raleigh. We’re moving back soon to the area to retire to be closer to our family and are looking forward to being regulars at Kanki again in near future!
