Our magical conservatory restaurant is set amid Updown’s rambling grounds. Dine under the grape vines surrounded by beautiful 17th century brick and watch the chefs in the open kitchen tending to the wood fired grill and original farm house bread oven. The restaurant has been completely transformed by owners Ruth and Oli to be heated and fully enclosed and is open year round.Menus will be small, hyper seasonal and use the best of local and European produce and change on regular basis to reflect what’s best. Everything is cooked over wood in the open kitchen. There is a short list of exciting wines of limited availability, local beers and seasonal cocktails.On Wednesday nights in place of our à la carte we cook a Steak Night menu , priced at £30 per person for 3 courses. Absolutely wonderful evening with my daughter my granddaughter her dad and I Lovely ambience and baby friendly, attentive but unobtrusive service and absolutely first class food Thoroughly recommended Fantastic starters especially the Goats Cheese, Squid and Arancini And the steak and Sorbets are both to die for!!

Burns night dinner was awesome. The food was excellent, our waiter Dan was very friendly and attentive. Music was nice. I have also tried their Sunday roast on another occasion and enjoyed it thoroughly
