Behind an unmarked door adjacent to the wine room, guests are transported to District 1 (China Town) in Saigon via Blackhouse’s 28-seat restaurant-within-a-restaurant, LSXO. A spinoff of the Little Sister brand (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach & Downtown Los Angeles), LSXO is love letter to the culture, heritage, and lineage of Vietnam (Vuong’s relatives hail from the region). While Little Sister is known for its French Vietnamese menu, LSXO follows the same Southeast Asian inspiration with a more refined feel. “There is no signage for LSXO—you can spot the entrance of it tucked into a section inside Bluegold, but you’ll have to know it’s there. Good food, good drinks, and good times. Can’t ask for much more. This was a really cool experiance and got much more then expected with the privacy of a speak easy time feel. Would highly recommend for Birthday Dinners and such. A+

We had the mussels, calamari, and the Brussel sprouts appetizers. The Mussels were the best I have had. The calamari and sprouts were good. We especially liked their old fashions. I love this place.

Wonderful night at the Rusty Pelican. We came on the last night of our trip and wish we’d found it earlier. Our server really elevated the whole night- she was charming and fun. We had clams and mussels for appetizer and everyone loved it. Dinner entrees were salmon, shrimp scampi, Chilean sea bass (the special) and sword fish and equally delicious. Very fresh and cooked perfectly. Desserts were just fine but nothing special. Thank you for a lovely night!
