We ate here prior to an evening performance at the Tobin. I was a little concerned with having the built-in customer base from the Tobin that this could be a place that had more of a tourist mentality; i.e. great location but mediocre food and service. I could not have been more wrong! First off was the wonderful service. We were greeted and seated promptly by friendly staff. And I can't say too many great things about our waiter Corban. He provided suggestions, checked on us regularly without being annoying, and he was so prompt in following up with requests despite having a lot of tables. My husband and I both commented that he defined customer service. Other staff appeared to have that same work ethic. We both had delicious cocktails prior to dinner. I had the special which were Tomahawk porkchops with an apple cider jam glaze. They were moist, flavorful and huge! My husband had the beef filet which he said was tender and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes were large and we ended up asking for a to-go bag as we didn't want to leave any behind. We also split a dessert (chocolate creme Brulle) with coffees. The prices were not inexpensive, but the quality and service made it a good value. I noticed that there were a lot of tables eating the pizzas which provides a more affordable option. They looked and smelled great. We will definitely go back and highly recommend!
