Our entire experience was great. We sat in a room we call the Presidents Room, because from the walls hang a picture of each US President. We had mushrooms as an appetizer. For dinner, we had the Kona filet with lump crab and asparagus, and loaded mashed potatoes. And we finished with cheesecake. The entire meal was fantastic, as was our server, Jackie. Food was exquisite. Cooked to perfection. We had the calamari and she crab soup, then the Steak Oscar and my man had the sirloin with a crabcake. The drinks were strong enough and tasted delicious. Try the P.Y.T. and the chocolate cherry kiss, they won't disappoint. He also had the barrel aged old fashioned and said it was the best old fashioned he had ever had. Dessert was the white chocolate bread pudding and the key lime pie; they were fantastic, as well. We were not rushed, we had everything we needed quickly and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. Pricey? Yes but well worth it. This was my 2nd time there, his 1st. We will definitely return!

How to describe my favorite restaurant in Richmond and one of my favorites of all time...the experience starts once you walk in. The music, the art, the names of the dishes on the menu. For a few seconds the sounds and sights are like a roller coaster running full steam, but then everything settles into place and your visit begins to flow. Fresh truffle service tableside? This is the place to do that. Mac and Cheese with Maine Lobster and that truffle service? Sign me up. Swashbuckling Bundt Pirate cake served on a classic Aquaman plate for desert? Yes please. Just don't forget to get your reservation in well in advance. Dress code isn't stuffy, but leave the ball cap in the car.

A Perfect Night at The Boathouse at City Point I had the most incredible experience at this restaurant! On February 14, 2025, I got engaged to my best friend—one of the happiest moments of my life, second only to becoming a mother. I was completely overjoyed and surprised! The food and service were absolutely excellent, making the night even more special. Despite living in the area for a year, this was my first visit to The Boathouse at City Point, and I’m so glad he chose this restaurant for such a memorable occasion. I couldn’t have asked for a better setting to celebrate such a beautiful moment. Highly recommend!

We are locals. This was our 1st time back since new owners. The service was great, our waiter was personable, his name was John. Ask for him. The menu offered us things we liked. I chose salmon and my husband chose Smash burgers. The sweet potato and brussel sprouts combination was delicious, highly recommend. We like how they no longer offer tastings but sell flights, it is more profitable for them. Overall a nice afternoon.
