Entrees and desserts were amazing. Wine was not worth the price. Everything was amazing although rather pricey.

Lovely birthday brunch for a friend at this low key spot in Shirlington. The pasta was delicious and we were treated to a lovely glass of wine. My friend enjoyed her cheesecake but my Circus Maximus dessert was just a little too much for me. Ice cream, brownie and meringue piled high was more than I could handle. The ambience was great as it wasn’t too crowded so we could speak at a moderate level. I’ll return to try more of the menu.

Palette 22 is now our go-to restaurant. Each dish is well-prepared, flavorful, and represents the country of origin. The service is always polite and responsive. Tip: you can order a few dishes at a time. You do not need to place your entire order at one time. This allows you to enjoy each dish more slowly. We like taking turns ordering 2 items at a time. From last night, my top picks were the Sesane Steak, Lebanese Tacos, and the Funghi Flat Bread.

We rarely eat more than one course when we go out to eat, but decided to try the Valentine's Day Aphrodite dinner, and it was worth every calorie. Every course was light and delicious, but the pimento? feta with pita was out of this world. And all served by a really wonderful waitress.  It was really a delightful and delectable Valentine's Day dinner. 

My friend had the brisket and loved it.. cocktails were great too! We stopped in for a late lunch and definitely want to go back for dinner. Also loved the hushpuppies and potato salad. He was talking about going back for more before we hit the driveway on the way home ~
