Restaurants near Freddy Fender Museum

I visited your restaurant with my family on 12/24/24 and 1/1/25. On both occasions, we were seated next to other occupied tables despite there being plenty of available seating in the rest of the restaurant. A four-person table becomes quite cramped with four dinner plates, plantains, mashed potatoes, and fries, and it's even more uncomfortable when nestled between two other occupied tables. I understand if the restaurant were full, but on January 1st, we were seated at 12:45 PM after the lunch rush, and the restaurant was fairly empty. The same issue occurred on December 24, although I did ask to be moved to a less crowded section. On January 1st, I did not make this request. As a former hostess from a high-end restaurant in NC, I believe the hostesses at your restaurant could benefit from some coaching to improve guest seating arrangements.

I have lost count of how many meals i have had at Ambra and the number will continue to grow. Just go. Try a few things. Maybe venture outside your comfort zone. Whatever you do you can expect an excellent meal and great service in a luxurious environment

We booked a table for 10 for our 16-year-old‘s birthday. They were very accommodating with us changing the time. The service was excellent and overall very fast. We really enjoyed the appetizers. The bread was excellent. Overall, for the amount of food we received and ordered For 10 people the price point was good. They allowed us to bring our own cake and provided plates and utensils. The outside at night provides beautiful dining .

Dinner was great. Priced decently. Our server was a nice red hailed young lady. She took our order brought drinks and salads and never returned. We flagged another server for drink refills and he also brought us our entrees, she only returned to drop off the tab. If you're going to charge these prices we should be attended to at a minimum. Will try again

So excited to have found this gem of a place in the RGV! We had the fried salmon sandwich and crispy chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and the cabbage slaw on the chicken was spicy and refreshing. Great service and atmosphere.
