Restaurants near Friends Lake Inn

We stayed at Fort Willam Henry Hotel so it was very convenient. Had a drink at the bar first. Bartender was friendly and made a great drink (not at all shy with the booze, but not too strong). Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Gorgeous views of Lake George. A little on the pricey side but I thought it was worth it.

My boyfriend and I went here for our Valentine’s Day celebration. It was the first time for both of us being here. We sat out on the porch. The honey butter is amazing. The surf and turf was delightful. The chocolate flourless cake was thick and fudge like and wonderful. Jeremy, our waiter was very pleasant. Can’t wait to go back in the summer and sit on the lawn. It was very romantic and the soundtrack couldn’t have been beat. I wanna know what station they were playing?

One dish that truly impressed us was their lobster bisque, which ranks as the second-best we have encountered in ten years. This exquisite bisque is crafted with real lobster and expertly prepared, a refreshing contrast to the canned versions that many establishments often serve. Additionally, the fillet was cooked to absolute perfection, and the Chilean Seabass was equally delightful, showcasing the kitchen's skill in seafood preparation. Nice, welcoming staff. Great service. Rustic atmosphere which could be made a tad more elegant for dinner, but overall a pleasant experience. Very good food and menu selection.

The experience at Shepard’s at Erlowest was simply amazing! The food was spectacular along with the drinks! Highly recommend eating here! Service was great too! The ambiance was divine!
