Lokma, which means “a bite” in Turkish, opened in Feb 2018 and is located in the Outer Richmond. We serve a fresh Californian and Turkish fare while serving our guests with warm hospitality in our bright and open space. Please note that we allow 15-minute grace period for reservations, we ask that you please call if you are going to be late. Reservations will be marked as no-shows after 15 minutes. Due to the high number of no-shows and last-minute cancellations, we now have a 24-hour cancellation window for parties of 6 or more. We will require credit card information through OpenTable.     When a schedule conflict meant that we had to change to lunch from dinner, we didn’t think about the fact that the menu might be different, so we were disappointed to find just a brunch menu offered. After some ‘readjustment’, we decided what to order from the limited menu. The disappointment faded FAST as the food arrived. While the selections were different and limited, the taste profiles were amazing. Three of us shared the olives and the spiced cashews (I don’t like cashews…I loved these ones), and a little gems salad to start. Followed that with the shrimp and polenta and the eggs Benedict—and an extra side of potatoes that came with a delicious dipping sauce. It was an amazingly delicious meal. Service was odd: at some times very attentive; at others, we couldn’t get anyone’s attention (for instance, to inquire about the beer that hadn’t come when mains arrived, even though we ordered it before we ordered food). Amazing meal!

    Love this restaurant. Such a wonderful menu & preparation, presentation, and service are almost flawless. My only complaint is when I wasn’t paying attention, my wonderful cocktail was removed while still a quarter full. I’d been looking forward to those last sips. Looking forward to returning many times in the future.

    It was amazing! Our service was great. Such a fun experience and the food was so good. The only thing was the restaurant was super loud, would have been nice to be in a more quiet area. Still had a great experience though.
