I had a lovely birthday experience at Jaleo! The food was inventive and fun, the ambiance was quirky in a good way (we had a working foosball table under the glass we ate on!), and our server Fressia went above and beyond to accommodate my group. The food came out quickly even on a busy weekend and I was really happy they extended their Valentine's Menu (the lava cake and pork with apples were standout dishes for me)! It wasn't the best food I've ever had, but the flavor and texture combinations were delightful and you can tell that the Chefs really are masters at their craft. Hats off to this restaurant for delivering a great meal with grace! I will be back.

We LOVED LOVED this place! You can tell people love eating there. As soon as we walked in, it was extremely booked with people even waiting outside. We were lucky enough to find an open table for that evening. If you do consider eating here PLEASE MAKE RESERVATIONS! The plates are HUGE!! They can feed 2 people and you will still have enough to take home. Our waitress Nadia, was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, attentive, and sweet. We were visiting D.C for the weekend, but I sure wish they had a restaurant down in FL! The 4 cheese pasta was beyond words! So much creaminess, the perfect amount of cheese, and you can tell it was made with love! And the zuppa di mussels (to die for!) such abundance of different flavors coming together! Truly loved this place, will definitely eat here again the day we return. Great job to everyone who works at the restaurant, you can truly tell everyone loves what they do. We did the chef’s tasting menu, which took us on a journey through 10 different dishes, each one more amazing than the last. As a Peruvian, I can confidently say this place nails the flavors while elevating them in the best way. The lomo saltado was perfection, the ají de gallina was rich and comforting, the arroz chaufa had that perfect smoky wok flavor, and the causa was beautifully balanced and fresh. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. And let’s talk about the pisco cocktails—perfectly crafted, smooth, and dangerously good. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. The ambience? Just as amazing. Warm, inviting, and the perfect backdrop for such a special meal. And for the sheer quality and variety of food we got, the value was unreal. I left so happy, so full, and already dreaming about my next visit. If you love Peruvian food (or just insanely good food in general), you need to eat here!

First time at Oyamel. The food was excellent as was the service by Melvin. He carefully explained the menu and our many serving options. The Oyamel margarita was delicious as were the tocos and rice w mushrooms and Brussel sprout sides. The tres leches dessert was incredible! Overall, and excellent dining experience enhanced by the care of Melvin. We will return soon!

We introduced our friends, who are new to the area, to the best restaurant in Washington, DC. The Valet parking guys greeted us warmly. The hostess stand was friendly and welcoming. Server Wayne did a phenomenal job. He was great with wine selection. Wayne also did a fantastic job in explaining some of the unique items on the menu, and some of the more popular items to our friends. The Calamari was delicious. Our salads were fresh, crisp, and tasty. My bone-in fillet was sensational. My wife and our friends loved their entrees too. The sides were a wonderful compliment to our main courses. We had a great night! We cannot wait to return to The Capital Grille. Our thanks to all who made it a really special evening.
