- MMichaelvipHouston •96 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoWhenever we visit New Orleans we try to have at least one dinner at the Chophouse. Our food was excellent last night except for the Carpaccio which was served differently than we were expecting; it was almost frozen. Our server Joseph C was not engaged at all; he had no personality and he was not the least bit attentive. I reflected our dissatisfaction with him by the tip that I left. We told the hostess on the way out that we were not pleased with our server. The busy boys were far more pleasant than our server.More infoChophouse New Orleans – Prime SteaksPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Central Business District•4.7
- RReneevipNew Orleans / Louisiana •11 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoEverything was wonderful as usual. This was our 4th Thanksgiving with August. The noise level was a problem this year because of one of the larger tables in the room where we were seated. One could tell by the looks on other’s faces in the room that no one was pleased at having their Thanksgiving dinner compromised by the bad behavior of a small group of people. I understand that the restaurant cannot control the guests, but it was extremely annoying. Everyone was relieved when the table departed.More infoRestaurant AugustPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Central Business District•4.9

The food was delicious but I can’t say it was 5 star quality, but our meal was very enjoyable. The atmosphere was lovely. Great service truly makes a difference. Thank you Carol and Sam! We felt special!More infoChemin à la MerPrice: Moderate• Creole• Central Business District•4.7
- JJustinvipCincinnati / Dayton •2 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 26, 2024Listen, I know when you’re in New Orleans it’s all about the Creole. And we have thoroughly enjoyed eating our way through bowls of gumbo and grilled oysters… but nothing celebrated my palate like this experience we had at Nobu. I have no idea what we ate exactly, but I remember when I briefly needed glasses in 3rd grade and thinking the grass had never been greener and the sky had never really been blue like this before. This is what this food did to me. The flavors had—no exaggeration—actual swear-to-Jesus layers and my mouth celebrated it all with a little grand finale of a pop of punchy explosion. Yes. It was all that. It was perfect and everything I didn’t know I had been missing. It’s not cheap, but it is a real experience. Our server, Andrea made the best recommendations and our chef even visited tableside with an extra little surprise. I imagine in a world where people are seeking the Creole experience this Asian cuisine could be overlooked, but it should be a stand out. The cod dish I forgot to take a picture of was this sexy satiny dish that felt so luxurious like the best sheets you’ve ever slept in… Whatever the other white fish dish was the thing I will be coming back for. A beautiful layered delight. This little pepper that hit you right at the end like a first kiss. The Wagu dish was so smooth with just the right amount of peppery, salty punch atop a melt in your mouth beef with a final tomato explosion. All so good. Save your money for this splurge, it is worth it even for non-fancy people like me.More infoNobu - Caesars New OrleansPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Central Business District•4.6
