We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019. We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. However, please tell us at the time of booking so that we can place you in our Bar area , as opposed to our Restaurant.

We aim to make everyone feel welcome, whatever their preferences. Our seasonal menu includes vegetarian and vegan options and we cater for all dietary requirements. As parents, owners Hannah and Mo appreciate the importance of including children around the table and offer young guests a smaller portion of many of our main menu dishes.We are open all day *Tuesday through to Sunday, and always have something to eat on offer but to avoid disappointment please note our key timings: Tuesday-Saturday: Breakfast is served from 9am - 11am, Lunch from 12 mid-day to 2.30pm, then Dinner (including our new Children’s Menu) from 5.30pm with last orders by 9pm. What a lovely place. Stumbled upon this pub as we did not want to eat in Glastonbury and is only a short drive, it is down a dark country road but well lit. We were taken aback when we walked in by the character and welcoming staff. Honestly they could not do any more for us, let us try the tap beers and gave a choice of where we wanted to sit. Very attentive staff very pleasant. The food came quickly and was so delicious we both had fish stew, I am not a great fan of fish but this was something special and generous portion of bread to go with it. Will definately return if ever in the area and they also have rooms which look as inviting as the pub. There has been great care and attention taken with this country pub it is a credit to the staff. It is a real hidden gem!!
