- BbellaMemphis •1 review5.0Dined todayI had a lovely birthday experience at Jaleo! The food was inventive and fun, the ambiance was quirky in a good way (we had a working foosball table under the glass we ate on!), and our server Fressia went above and beyond to accommodate my group. The food came out quickly even on a busy weekend and I was really happy they extended their Valentine's Menu (the lava cake and pork with apples were standout dishes for me)! It wasn't the best food I've ever had, but the flavor and texture combinations were delightful and you can tell that the Chefs really are masters at their craft. Hats off to this restaurant for delivering a great meal with grace! I will be back.More infoJaleo - DCPrice: Expensive• Spanish• Penn Quarter•4.7
- CChaveliFort Lauderdale •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe LOVED LOVED this place! You can tell people love eating there. As soon as we walked in, it was extremely booked with people even waiting outside. We were lucky enough to find an open table for that evening. If you do consider eating here PLEASE MAKE RESERVATIONS! The plates are HUGE!! They can feed 2 people and you will still have enough to take home. Our waitress Nadia, was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, attentive, and sweet. We were visiting D.C for the weekend, but I sure wish they had a restaurant down in FL! The 4 cheese pasta was beyond words! So much creaminess, the perfect amount of cheese, and you can tell it was made with love! And the zuppa di mussels (to die for!) such abundance of different flavors coming together! Truly loved this place, will definitely eat here again the day we return. Great job to everyone who works at the restaurant, you can truly tell everyone loves what they do. Chef, youre food is amazing!!!More infoCarmine's - Washington DCPrice: Moderate• Italian• Penn Quarter•4.5
- CClaudiaWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoHere’s your review with the chef’s tasting menu details: — I’m still on a high from this meal—absolutely incredible! We did the chef’s tasting menu, which took us on a journey through 10 different dishes, each one more amazing than the last. As a Peruvian, I can confidently say this place nails the flavors while elevating them in the best way. The lomo saltado was perfection, the ají de gallina was rich and comforting, the arroz chaufa had that perfect smoky wok flavor, and the causa was beautifully balanced and fresh. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. And let’s talk about the pisco cocktails—perfectly crafted, smooth, and dangerously good. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. The ambience? Just as amazing. Warm, inviting, and the perfect backdrop for such a special meal. And for the sheer quality and variety of food we got, the value was unreal. I left so happy, so full, and already dreaming about my next visit. If you love Peruvian food (or just insanely good food in general), you need to eat here!More infoChina ChilcanoPrice: Expensive• Peruvian• Penn Quarter•4.7
- DDeborahWashington, D.C. Area •13 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe went for Valentine’s Day. We were seated upstairs. A comfy, sleek atmosphere combined with marble floors columns and walls. There’s something goth-esque about the surroundings. Bravo to the Sommelier who knew her Spanish wines. She spent a considerable amount of time helping us choose just the right bottle for the variety of tapas we planned to order. We chose one from almost each category. The raw seafood and seafood choices were our favorites. The octopus was divine! I loved the oxtail croquettas and my boyfriend loved the oysters that came in a can, a nod to smoked oysters in a can (lid and all!). They were truly delicious, delicate with a hint of citrus. The ceviche in the dragon fruit was mind blowing! So delicate and fragrant. It reminds me of the ocean. Dining at Bazaar is an experience for your palate. It is worth the culinary trip. I’ve dined on José Andres’ culinary creations since he arrived on the corner of 7th and E Street’s Jaleos and have followed him as he opens one culinary destination after another. Another diamond!More infoThe Bazaar by José Andrés - DCPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Penn Quarter•4.7
