Restaurants near Herrington Country Park

Booked for Christmas Day and certainly didn’t disappoint- lovely ambience, staff amazing, food delicious and delivered to your table hot and timings in between main and deserts perfect. Definitely worth the price and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Went on evening of 23rd Dec. Looked fully booked, I would recommend booking. Atmosphere was great, liked that couples have seeing around the corner with river views. Obviously was dark but still a lovely space. Both owners are very friendly and personable, nothing is a bother. Waitress only took one starter down instead of two. Might be an idea to repeat the order back. The owner was very attentive and sorted the other starter out. The steak tartare was amazing, the wasabi was just right. Chicken schnitzel wit veloute was very tasty. We em were too full for desert as also ordered sides of fries and green beers, 2 bottles of sparkling water and two glasses of red wine. £107 without service charge. We tipped separately. Quite expensive, but a special treat. Would definitely recommend and go in the future. It was our anniversary and got a little chocolate treat, which was a nice personal touch. An excellent addition to Sunderland food scene. Wish the owners and staff all the best !

Great venue - a little noisy but to be expected on the last Fri before Christmas Helpful and friendly staff Not rushed at all despite it being so busy Will definitely visit again
