I would have never imagined that a “buffet” could be this excellent. Choice and preparation of everything our party of four had was very well prepared and served. We all had oysters, crab legs, shrimp, tuna poke, salads, blackened grouper, prime rib, veggies and sides and finally desert that included made to order banana foster. Wine list was adequate and at a range of price points. Last our waiter Carlos, a veteran of 11 years at Blue Ridge made the experience one of fine dining, very attentive and professional.

This was our 6th experience at Appalachia. It’s always a great experience. On this very cold night the roaring fire was very much appreciated. Of the short ribs, sea bass and the NC blackened shrimp ordered by our table, the shrimp dish was the best. The winter salad was a hit. Service as always was very attentive. This was a first visit for the couple with us, they decided it was their new favorite. A splendid and tasty evening for all.

Me and my wife ate there for her birthday. The experience was great! We got their charcuterie board, which was amazing. We got two mixed drinks and we both enjoyed them as well. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and worth the money spent. I would recommend Claywood to anyone and decide yourself it was as good of an experience as we had!

Everything was perfect! The food and service were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the scampi for the first time, and it won’t be the last. The shrimp were crispy and tender. The kale pesto was surprisingly light, and the pasta was al dente, which is how I like it.

The restaurant and service are super nice. The reservation was a bit behind, but we got the tables at the window, which was amazing! The service was great and my wife and I had a great dinner to celebrate my birthday!
