Restaurants near Hilton Portland & Executive Tower

Higgins is a regular in my rotation of Portland fine dining and farm-to-table restaurants. Excellent food, service, bar, everything. Never a disappointment, although the crab and bay shrimp cakes were not great, but good enough and ate them all. Duck, pasta, beets, on tonight's menu were excellent. Highly recommended.

We had the Peking duck experience, as December is Duck Month at Departure. The duck was beautifully presented before the final stage of cooking to crisp the skin and apply the final layer of glaze. The meal consisted of duck bone broth, the Peking duck with thin pancakes, cucumbers, green onions, hoisin sauce, pickled cumquats, duck fried rice, and duck fat ice cream with sesame brittle and berry sauce. The meal was delicious. There is a huge sale list, but we opted for the Lillet All Day and 75-ish cocktails. A glass of Domaine du Petit Bonhomme went perfectly with the duck. Our server, Hailey, was great.

Our server was amazing. Every single worker was so friendly and so helpful the entire experience. It was a fun night and we could not be happier with how our dinner/birthday celebration went.

Cocktails were great, no skimping there. We each had the classic with and upgrade to lobster tails. Salads and mains were great. Filets cooked as ordered. Totally enjoyed our meals. Had very nice chat with the manager when checking on us. A very pleasant experience.
