Restaurants near Hole in The Wall Puppet Theatre

People generally assume this is an overpriced steak house and if you order 12 ounces of wagyu at !42ab ounce it certainly can be expensive. But you don’t have to order that. We go there occasionally so we don’t need to splurge,we just get what we’d like to eat. tonight umI ordered the vegetable risotto side and a small crab cake (and,sadly, two glasses of very good French wine). It was still expensive but the best risotto I’ve ever had , with enough to take home for lunch and a really excellent crab cake. And I didn’t really n we’d two glasses of wine… This night actually he the best restaurant I have ever enjoyed, including several Michelin starred, a bunch of top rated restaurants in NYC, and various excellent restaurants from Prague to Paris.

Excellent ambiance, good food and service. Limited menu options. We were inside because of the cold but they had heaters outside. This would be awesome in good weather.

We dine at C'est la Vie after attending the Fulton Theater. This time the musical ended a bit before C'est la Vie opened for the day. We were invited to sit at the bar and order drinks prior to its opening. That was appreciated because the day was cold! We always ask for Ben to be our waiter. He is outstanding: recommends dishes, gives comments on dishes we are not familiar with, and responds promptly when we need his input which he offers with wit and humor. The food is always perfection. I have favorites which I don't always order because the specials are so outstanding. The presentation of each course is exquisite. The taste is better than expected. The quality of the food served is superior. We look forward to dining at C'est la Vie when we visit the theater.

My Fiance and I went to Plough for Valentine’s day. The food was out of the world. The waiter, L, was amazing as well and took good care of us, always making sure our waters were full and explaining the menu items to us! For a valentine’s day meal we were surprised with a rose at the end which added a super special touch to the evening. 10/10, 5 stars, would highly recommend. If I could give more stars I would!!!
