Restaurants near Hotel Zocalo Central

This was some of the best Mexican food I've ever experienced. Every dish was so flavorful and made with care. We ordered 7 different dishes (2 appetizers, 1 taco course, 2 mains, 1 salsa and a dessert) and every single dish was unique and made with so much detail. Not a single bite was a swing and a miss. Even the skirt steak tacos, which felt like the most basic thing we could have ordered, were perfectly executed and came with a sweet and fruity salsa that I had never experienced before and which made it a uniquely special bite of food. You can find so much excellent food in CDMX but this is truly worth making time for and worthy of an elevated price. Also the service was excellent and our server took time to kindly explain the origins of 2 of the moles we tried, which I loved hearing about.

Fabulous restaurant with excellent food and service. Dining on the terrace is not to be missed: the most spectacular view in all of Mexico City. Perfect for a date night or special occasion or just for an overall great experience.

I've eaten here a number of times and generally, it is a great place to enjoy an evening and sunset overlooking Santo Domingo church. This time the service was a little rushed, the music a little loud and the food just okay. I'm not sure but it seems the menu may be more limited than a year ago as well. Would I return? Probably, but with the growing number of options for rooftop dining, I don't think I'll worry about making a reservation a month ahead again in order to eat there..
