Restaurants near Ikaria #304-A

This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to every time I’m in Vallarta. Maybe the staff was flustered when we arrived, but the service in the beginning was not the best… However, they did manage to turn it around and we had a great experience. All the food was amazing, although not too warm this time. I personally love the Nigiri, the fried rice, rice crispy cakes, and pretty much anything we order is usually very good. For dessert I highly recommend the banana pie which unfortunately they ran out of last night but the Dulce de Leche lava cake was amazing. 

Food was overall good. Other than one pasta dish that was a bit on the bland side, everything else was delicious. The restaurant seemed to be understaffed so wait time on food seemed long. Our waiter Ivan was great and did the best he could, but seemed to be the only waiter for all of the tables. Everyone else on the floor were runners and did not take orders. I was a little disappointed that the restaurant did not acknowledge on my reservation that the occasion was to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We decided to skip dessert due to the extended wait time.

We really loved the atmosphere; the decorations were beautiful and added such a charming touch to the overall vibe. Everything came together to create a wonderful evening. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal and a memorable experience!”

They were out of some of our favourite items. Grilled artichoke, corn bread, ingredients for specialty cocktails, and the staff were a bit frazzled as it seemed they could have used a few more working. It was a three hour dinner. The servers did not come and check on our table of 14 people and we had to grab them as they ran by to receive our drink and food order and even plates. We enjoyed our evening because we love being together as a family but they didn’t make us feel special. Hopefully next time they can be a bit more organised and keep the menu items available.
