The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this. We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. If I could give more stars, I would! Hands down the best steak I’ve ever had (and I do love a steak restaurant). Can’t believe it took me so long to go here! Took the wife for her birthday, service was brilliant (they gave her a little fuss with candle etc…) and the team were awesome. Definitely be back!!!

Going to rural pubs in Yorkshire and being a vegetarian is a hard one. It’s often very similar food and it all comes down to the cooking of it. Tremendous gnocchi, wonderful focaccia for starter and delicious choux pastry (I’ve not had choux that well made in years). My partner wanted about 5 onion crumpets to eat and thoroughly enjoyed the duck as well. Enjoyed by both. Ambience was lovely, venue was lovely, brilliant and friendly service.

What a wonderful restaurant to dine in during g our visit to Haworth. Great location right in the centre of it all. Food was outstanding…as a self-proclaimed ‘foodie’, I loved everything we ordered. In addition to the great food, they have some really nice house cocktails…and the wine list is super…and fairly priced. Make a reservation…this place is in high demand…deservedly so!

Good cocktail on 3rd floor as we were a bit early. They usually take our coats but not this time. Always seat us in the same area. Ann wanted Shepherd's pie which used to be on the 1917 menu but isn't now so she went a la carte. No Bordeaux by the glass but the cotes du Rhone was as good as I have had. Food and sevice as good as always. Background music a bit noisy for us. No problem with the bill. We will be back.in
