We dined here fairly early, 5:45 reservation (we arrived a few minutes tardy) after a play at Lincoln Center theatre. My mom said it ranked up there with the best meals she’s ever had in New York. Hahahaha she says that a lot. But really, everything about dinner was fantastic: the ambience, the service, the warmth, and the food! Mom had the strozzapreti with pesto, Sis had sea scallops with mushroom risotto, and I had chicken parmigiana a la vodka. I haven’t had chicken parmigiana in years and the waitress said they’re known for it, so I “had” to get it. Everything on point. To top it off we split the lemon pie. Oh em gee that pie with the brûlée finish was superb. Definitely need reservations. This place is worth the crowd. Enjoy!

What an indulgent meal and fun experience! We had been wanting to try Bad Roman for awhile but the reservations are always full. We finally got lucky! The space is really beautiful and cozy, it feels special. It never got too loud even though it was quite full. Our server was friendly and never far away if we needed anything. Food and drinks arrived quickly and everything was delicious. We loved the shared pasta and the frozen tiramisu especially. Others have wonderful pictures and descriptions of the food, everything was delicious. Best we've ever had? No. But this place is an experience. Some of the dishes are overpriced but you're in Columbus Circle so it goes with the territory. Go have fun and don't worry what the check reads.

This was our first time visiting and we did a horse drawn carriage ride through Central Park before our reservation since Tavern on the Green is just on the edge of the park. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays and stunningly gorgeous inside- even better than I’d imagined. The food was delicious and service was very attentive. I really could not have asked for a more perfect dinner experience for myself and my family! Thank you Tavern of the Green for such a great dining experience!

The food was delicious! French onion soup is a must, perfectly melted Gruyère and a generous amount of soup. I also had the Croque Monsieur which was so filling and beautifully melted. Great ambience, attentive staff and we were not rushed. Made for an absolutely wonderful family get together. Will be back!

Our pre-theater dinner was extraordinary. The staff from the moment we entered through dessert was magnificent. The food was even beyond our expectations. Of course, we had the famous potato chips which were quite a hit. The salmon tartare was so well prepared and melts in your mouth ( there is a crunch too). We also had a kale and quinoa salad, tomato soup , bibimbap and lots of other delicious food. Make sure to make a reservation .. the place was packed and yet the staff was incredibly attentive. I would give it ten stars if I could.
