Welcome to The Mountain Room. Portland Chef Harding Lee Smith & staff are back for another unforgettable season at Sunday River. Using the best of Maine centric purveyors as backbone & honored by USA TODAY as one of the "Best Ski Restaurants", The Mountain Room is a can't miss experience. Located mid mountain at North Peak lodge, TMR mixes distinctive hospitality with tremendous views of the surrounding Mahoosuc Range. Reservations are highly recommended. Our offerings change weekly, sometimes nightly. We offer a single prix fixe tasting menu with five courses. Our menus reflect Chef JennyBess Chaim's travels across the globe and varied ethnic backgrounds, ranging from Nordic traditions to Middle Eastern comfort food. Thanksgiving dinner buffet was great this year, with plentiful food and quick cheerful service. The restaurant had staffed up and prepared food based on an expected large crowd, but a winter storm prompted many cancelled reservations. Those who made it to dinner, largely hotel guests, enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
